My CSW Experience
CSW was a fun and unique way to learn about a company and career path. Because of the broad possibilities a career in Consumer and Market Knowledge can offer, trying to explain or understand what CMK is can be challenging! Getting to spend some time in Cincinnati fully emerged in the role with experienced CMK managers is the best way to learn about P&G’s unique market research function.
What did you find most valuable about attending the CSW Workshop?
CSW wasn’t just a seminar about the company. We were learning new things all day and exploring Cincinnati at night. The most exciting part of case study was planning and watching real focus groups react to our questions and ideas.
What did you learn from attending CSW?
My favorite social event was going to cooking school and preparing our own gourmet dinner! Besides my new cooking skills, I learned about how my interest in understanding how and why people behave as they do can turn into a really fun job! We also got to meet with a lot of interesting people ranging from interns and new hires all the way to the company’s CMK leaders. We got to present our work to them and just hang out and learn about their experiences at P&G. It made me very comfortable and excited to accept an internship offer for the next summer!
Katherine’s Advice for You:
The application can seem overwhelming, especially when you have barely started to think about what comes after college. Take the time to apply for CSW. I can’t think of a better way to learn about CMK or any job. Come with an open and inquisitive mind and don’t be afraid to use it! This is your chance to learn about P&G and CMK in a really meaningful way.
P&G offers such a variety of experiences and roles that make it like working at several different companies with all the benefits of staying at one. It gives you the opportunity to constantly learn and grow while still being able to build a sense of belonging and purpose.
